This essay will discuss about how people could be more conscious about their health and diet, and how the government might help them to get a better health through rewards and incentives. In my opinion, both are equally responsible for health and diet.
Firstly, we will talk about people’s awareness about their health and diet; each individual should be responsible for it, they should include in their menu foods such as fruits and vegetables and practise some sports. Everyone knows if you have a sedentary life, and do not have an appropriate diet, you probably will have some problems, such as high blood pressure or high blood sugar. A lot of research shows that our health is completely linked to the way we eat and practice exercise. However, we keep doing the same mistake, eating processed food and sitting on the sofa in front of the TV.
The government spend a lot of money to look after everyone’s health, it would be less if each one takes care about their own. Moreover, the government should give incentives or rewards to people who want to improve their health, for example, if you have a good nutrition and do not go to the doctor frequently, or do not have any problem such as cholesterol, you could pay less tax. Therefore, the government should charge more tax on unhealthy products and high level of sugar.
To conclude, I think both are equally responsible, people must be aware about their own health and take care about it, on the other hand the government should find the way to put it into people’s mind.
